1950s Midwest Travel Vacation Travelogue Film w/ YellowstoneIn this film, a young writer is having problems finding his inspiration and is badly in need of a vacation. He leaves in his vehicle for a camping trip for a few days to renew his motivation. While visiting Lake Michigan, he becomes smitten by a pretty young lady who is painting a portrait. However, he knocks over her painting, making her very angry. He continues on his way from Lake Michigan and runs into the young lady and her father, who are both on the road and having car problems. Their car is ruined, but the young writer volunteers to drive them around the Midwest to explore while she paints the region. They see many unique sites throughout the Midwest, including beautiful state parks, natural landmarks, and unique historical attractions. When he returns to his office, he convinces his boss to print her beautiful paintings that show a renewed passion about America.
