Mark CubitMark Cubit is a Physical Education teacher in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. Mark Cubit was Mercersburg’s head boys’ basketball coach and was inducted October 22 2009 into the Delco [Delaware County, Pennsylvania] Athletes Hall of Fame. Mark Cubit has over 30 years of experience enhancing the performance of corporate executives and athletes at the professional, collegiate and high school levels. Mark Cubit specializes in the development and delivery of curriculum for businesses, individuals, and schools ( including home schooling); he uses specific needs assessment for teams/organizations and the individuals who uniquely contribute to the success of each team/organization. Using the most effective and efficient means towards optimal wellness and performance requires one who has successfully engaged in a variety ventures. Mark Cubit has proven successful at the highest levels of sport, participated in business start ups and have served as an owner, manager and administrator for both public and private entities serving a nearly infinite range of populations. Mark Cubit played at Syracuse University under Jim Boeheim reaching the Sweet Sixteen as Co-Captain and Most Improved Player. Mark Cubit would be a reserve for two seasons at Syracuse, and would captain the team his senior year. After graduation, Mark would be an assistant coach at Syracuse for two years. After coaching at his alma mater, Mark Cubit moved on to play professional basketball internationally. Mark Cubit would play in England's National Basketball league where he averaged 32.6 ppg. Upon returning to the U.S., Mark would coach high school basketball. He would coach Chambersburg High School for a few years, leading them to the state quarterfinals twice. Then Mark would coach Mercerburg Academy's basketball team from 1999-2012. A highly respected and recognized coach for over 25 years at the professional, Division 1 and high school level, Mark has directed hundreds of young men and women in reaching aspirations to play intercollegiate athletics at all levels. Mark Cubit has also worked with special needs populations while managing a number of fitness facilities on the East Coast. As a PE teacher and with a Masters in Education Administration, Mark has developed Wellness programming for 2 public school districts while assisting in the development of Wellness programming at a number of private schools and businesses. Mark continues to develop young athletes develop sound basketball and movement skills in small groups while expanding his services to reach executives and corporations aiming to improve productivity through movements that re-create and sustain focus while simultaneously increasing productivity and decreasing negative effects of sedentary work spaces.
