Making it official, TNT made a deal with Warner Bros. Television to obtain the cancelled NBC series Southland.

NBC has pulled the plug on Southland.  At this point, the show had not yet premiered this season, and no reason has yet been cited for the cancellation. The show was expected to make its season debut on Friday, October 23rd at 9p.

Despite ranking third in ratings among A18-49 this past Thursday night, NBC is giving its newer police drama Southland a second season chance.
