On the first day of the german surf Championships 2013 in St Girons the competitors showed what is possible with a surfboard. Specially Youngstars Leon Glatzer and Arne Bergwinkel showed some nice moves in the Open Men class. In the Longboard class Adrian Siebert showed an incradable noseride.

I purposefully didn’t bring any camera equipment except for a little HD Go Pro camera. The morning of what was supposedly the swell of the season, my girlfriend and I woke up before dawn and navigated the rocks to empty 6-8 foot spinning lefts. For forty-five minutes we shared sunrise lefts. Eventually the pack paddled out and the camera fogged up, so I ditched the head rig and shared perfect waves with the locals all day. Cordell Miller is an established surfer/shaper from Newport Beach, CA who started surfing when he was nine. When he was 17, he became one of the standout surfers in California and started getting different boards from the best shapers of the 90s. Upon getting a board from shaper Xanadu, his eyes were opened to the potential new possibilities created through increasing rocker in high performance surfboard designs when done correctly.
