Tesco and Cancer Research UK have unveiled the world’s first ever ‘Musicommercial’ to launch this year’s Race for Life – the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event series. A host of celebrities and stars of the West End stage have teamed up with Cancer Research UK to present ‘Join the Girls’, a compressed musical theatre performance that tells the story of Race for Life in under six minutes. The musical will be touring major cinemas across the UK throughout February, before the screening of various ‘chick flicks’. Tony Quan aka TEMPT1 was a graffiti artist in LA. He was paralyzed with ALS in 2003. His method of communicating was via a $15k+ eyetracker system that allowed him to type; TEMPT1's drawing career seemed over. Enter our speaker, the artist Zach Lieberman (http://thesystemis.com/). Working with collaborators he built a $50 eyetracker called the EyeWriter (http://thesystemis.com/projects/eyewriter/). TEMPT1 was able to use this to draw again.
