Another clip from Taiwanese actress/singer Rene Liu. March 18, 2007 -- Rene was on her way to a concert where she would be performing on stage with singer Richie Jen, also her friend. In the car with her were the other two members of this happy "gang of three": assistant Little Princess who always tries her best to hide from the camera and stylist Van Fei who's like "I'm here! Where's the light?" Richie just made up some funny lyrics set to the tune of a well-known Chinese folk song, which end with a kind of silly line "It's a daydream; why don't you just go home?" Richie wanted Rene to sing a duet with him. With a straight face, Rene shows Richie's handwriting and says at the end:"I'm not saying...(it's no good). I'm saying Richie is my friend and I respect HIS work." :)

Award-winning Taiwanese actress / singer Rene Liu on the site of her new TV commercial, March 2007. This is the first video clip Rene made since she had started to learn how to edit videos on a computer. Her lovely assistant, who's known as "Little Princess" by Rene's fans and who's behind the camera, described the scene as "massage given in a desert" as the crew members were leaving the site one by one. Rene "cried" about her tight schedule and how she didn't get enough sleep for days. Then in come the funniest conversation in the clip: Little Princess: "Time to get up, young lady." Rene (with her eyes closed): "One more session, please." Little Princess (after hearing Rene's complaining): "Thank God they have a bed in this scene." Rene: "I wish I'd be in bed in every scene." :D (This funny clip was made by Rene Liu.)

In this clip, she talks about her agent's new handbag that beeped when she was walking through the door of a store because the salesperson forgot to take out the anti-theft tag. Taiwanese actress / singer / writer Rene Liu tried to take a bite of some bread at the crowded backstage of the 26th Hong Kong Film Awards Ceremony, April 15, 2007. Liu is known to western audience for her sterling performance in such critically acclaimed movies as "Siao Yu", "The Personals", and "Murmur of Youth." This year she received a Best Actress nod for her quiet yet powerful performance in "Happy Birthday", which is based on a short story she wrote. As a presenter, she just handed the Best New Director Award to Hong Kong star Daniel Wu earlier that night, who had a cameo in this funny behind-the-scene clip (if you could find him). In the end Rene writes:"All ceremonies end no matter who win, who lose. All movies end no matter how insightful and how long the story is. Just like life. Winning or not, gorgeously dressed or not, at least I had something to eat!"
