In NYC Ephman notices people never look up unless somebody is ready to jump. but some of the coolest parts of NYC is up in the sky.

this is a really great band to check out. Lot's of energy, and the horn section really helps puts the power in their music.

Opposite Song was one of the better songs Andrew Bird played at Radio City Music Hall. The rest of the show was so so. you can see more at my blog ephman.com

this was a nice surprise opening band. basically they're all classically trained, but play a unique blend of rock, jazz, fusion, and soothing sounds. a bit pink floydish too!

This was a fantastic show on June 11, 2009. Both the band and the venue are amazing. The band did a "in the round" type of performance...

The High Line is a great brand new park on the west side of Manhattan. It is located on an elevated track. It is world class!

Le Poisson Rouge is a pretty cool new music venue in NYC getting some pretty impressive acts. worth checking out nellie mckay on this video

the town hall is a fantastic place. i kind of consider it to be "the other carnegie hall".

Really cool new coffee shop in nyc that opened up. Very different then Starbucks! Good coffee

the nyc marathon is one of the best sporting events to watch. first off it's free, and you can see so many great parts of the city as you follow the athletes around.

jane street, and bank street in greenwich village are 2 of the prettiest streets in the city.

chilpolte mexican grill is a fantastic place if you need healthy food that's FAST!!!

this is a store inside a store. in niketown at 57th street and 5th avenue, i think on the fourth floor. you can make a pair of custom shoes.

this is i think the last or one of the last remaining impromptu memorials for 9/11. started just a few days later, really a nice place to visit believe it or not.

at bryant park there's a skating rink with i think free skating. it's a big rink and i know i was born in canada.

You see one NYC street fair you've seen them all. The close streets off, and sell all the kinds of food that can kill you, and just basically junk stuff. But they are fun to go and walk through.

on the weekends throughout nyc there are these fantastic farmers markets that are open in the streets.

During the great Halloween season all these funny stores just pop up all over nyc. ssscccccaaaaarrrrryyyy stuff

New York Public Library, believe it or not it's a cool place to check out.

Chelsea Market has become a boutique food market. It used to be really quaint and quiet. However the changes has been good. The could use a butcher, but the seafood market is the best in the city.

Yum Yum Bangkok is a great Thai food restaurant in NYC's Hell's Kitchen area. They started with one location and now have 3 on the same block!

The White Horse Tavern is an institutional watering hole. They have a great sidewalk patio, and really comfortable bar stools for those all day events...

Loehmann's is a wicked place for deals on good clothes, and stuff. I've only gone into the men's department.

what is Kidrobot? Toy store, art gallery, action figure store??? it's all of those things, fantastic eh?

there is this neat store in the west village nyc that sells thing for plane rides.

Unlike a lot of 99 cent stores, this place REALLY does have everything for 99 cents. I even saw a saw for 99 cents.

There are all these funny Japanese cafeterias just off of 5th Avenue south of 42nd Street. The places are really good for an inexpensive luch, which is not that typical for Japanese food.

This place is fantastic to get a really good bag that looks great, and will last forever. Basically they make custom messenger bags, but they also have a lot of other great looks kinds of bags too.

Balducci's is a New York City food institution. This is a new (2 years old), store that they opened after their Greenwich Village store closed.

the chelsea wine vault in the chelsea market is a pretty cool place if you like wine. it's really big for a nyc wine store, and they have just about everything you'd need. downstairs is the actual vault that the top nyc restaurants keep their wine.

The Nike Store is a great place. I know it's sort of tourist place here in nyc, but they also have only one of four NikeID locations. You can customize your own shoe (more selection then online).

Such a great shoe store. They only sell their brand, and I think this is the only store. It's located in Chelsea. Really comfortable shoes, and well made.

so this place at 40th & 5th, has like a 1000 different magazines in it. a lot are art related. but no comics. oh well.

This is my supermarket. The funny thing is that it has CARPET. Figured it must be to cut down on slip and fall lawsuits. CLASSIC... but what a pain to keep stain free.

had to go into time warner service center to get a new clicker. not that bad... no wait. thanks to the person in the red shirt!

Vlogged at Muji today. Muji just moved to NYC from Japan. First came across this store when I was in London. Kind of like a Japanese Ikea... but cooler

so i got into a little trouble taping in there. i should i have told them it was going to be a good review... still is.
