The Big Bad WolfThis cartoon is the version made by Ub Iwerks for Castle Films. Released at 30 July 1936 (USA) as Little Boy Blue, its opens with a scarecrow prompting Little Boy Blue to blow his horn, causing a black sheep of Bo Peep's to do the Charleston. The black sheep then gets a wolf mask to scare the white sheeps, but runs across a real wolf. The Big Bad Wolf then catches one of the sheeps, and Bo Peep, Boy Blue, and the scarecrow run off to save it. The hero of the fairy tale is the scarecrow, not Little Boy Blue who only enters the "action" in the last 30 seconds of the cartoon after the scarecrow had defeated the "big, bad wolf."
