Colin Rider Compositing ReelA compositing reel showcasing the visual effects of Scary Stories; a film on which I served as Visual Effects Supervisor and Lead Compositer. All of the film's 125 visual effects shots were completed with Adobe After Effects CS3 Pro. Duties included face replacements, digital prosthetics, sky replacements, rig removal, crew removal, and composites of both real and digitally generated fire.
The unique approach of creating everything in After Effects -- even when 3D was the more obvious choice -- allowed each shot to be competed within 1-3 days while consistently exceeding the director's expectations.
The music used here is from the film's original soundtrack. It was composed and performed by Kwote Uno.
