Zome activities span genders and age groups. It's a great way to spend time with the kids.

Manipulative tips for building and disassemble Zome models.

First build a pincushion, i.e., fill all holes of the same shape in a zomeball with struts of the same color. Then connect zomeballs at all outward ends with struts. Various kinds of polyhedra will reveal.

Learn to read the numbers in Zome construction system. A Zomeball is shaped like a 62-faced dice. Which shape facing upward, or forming the north pole, dictates the symmetry on the equator plane.

Build your own spinners, improve them and learn the axis of symmetry at the same time.
