Serving 3 Years in HUD After raising 7 children, many of them on our wilderness property in remote mountains of Washington State, we found ourselves "tapped out" both monetarily and physically. Living in harsh conditions can do that. So moving to an HUD apartment complex in Washington's small college town of Eastern Washington University seemed a good answer. It has however been a culture shock of sorts. instead of wide open meadows and tree covered mountains with streams, we now are cramped in close to many others, some of whom barely get enough money to live satisfactory. This can lead to many ills which have run rampant in our society. So here I decided to make a comparison withe the movie...Cool Hand Luke, played by Paul Newman.....
