Mariko Hiraoka
She graduated from Osaka College of Music.
Then she went to Vienna to study at Vienna City College of Music.
While she was there, she had an unexpected accident. She remained unconscious for four months.
Miraculously she recovered. But her whole body was paralyzed and she had heavy brain damage.
However her strong will to play piano made her work hard at rehabilitation. She has been able to move her left hand, and she can move her right hand a little now.
She has thanked her supporters for helping. And now she has been giving much courage and inspiration to many people all over Japan through TV or concerts.
