Mr. Jim Burr - The Hubble, The Bible, and the Big Bang (2 of 2)For the August 2010, RMCF had a nationally known speaker on astronomy. Jim Burr, amateur astronomer, inventor, founder of JMI Telescopes, is recognized throughout the world for his achievements in telescope design and manufacturing including two for NASA’s “Mars Science Lab”. Mr. Burr has designed the NGT line of telescopes as well as a line of binocular telescopes. The NGT 18” has been reviewed nationally and internationally, and was included in the 1990 Rolex award for enterprise. Mr. Burr lectures around the world and has a daily TV show seen on the LLBN channel, as well as dozens of programs on 3ABN TV. Mr. Burr has been lecturing at the University of Northern Colorado/Greeley “Frontiers in Science” Program for ten years, where he has received the student’s award.
