Buster Keaton, vintage cinema’s first slapstick comedy hero, indulges in his love of machines in the riotous comedy The Electric House. The Engineering Institute is a two-week residential program for fifty (50) youths interested in engineering related careers. The institute was held at San Francisco State University - School of Engineering. During the Institute, participants gained insight into the engineering academic program that they will encounter as college students. They were exposed to different engineering careers. This film documents the creation of the National Aerospace plane by engineering students at Virginia Tech. The film shows plane construction in the hangar and the presentation of the final plane design. Also included in the footage is the transporting of the plane in a C-5 to a Paris airshow. September 5, 2007 was the Roxio Engineering Sailing Event at Humber Sailing Club in Toronto. On an overcast morning and moderate easterly winds, the fleet of sailboats left Humber Bay and sailed westward to Port Credit. With the winds behind, the boats were surfing on the waves.

Currently, there are more than 176 "green" colleges and universities, according to the U.S. Green Buildings Council, and the number continues to grow. Going green not only helps improve the air and water quality, it also conserves natural resources and leads to a better quality of life. Among them is Portland State University. Their newest engineering building has natural lighting, and natural ventilation. Rainwater is also captured on rooftops and treated on site to be used to flush toilets. Combined with the use of low flow toilets, sinks and showers, school officials say the campus consumes 40 percent less water than state guidelines. Thanks to advance heating/ cooling systems, building automation and energy efficient lighting, the school also uses 45 percent less energy. ING rates the Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul Park highly among the Formula One circuits. These are the facts: Circuit- Istanbul Park is by far the best Grand Prix circuit built in recent years. The track flows constantly up- und downhill, and the curve combinations are amongst the most demanding in the Formula One. Strain on Drivers - Curve 8 puts over 5gs of centrifugal force on the drivers, taking them to their physical limits. The circuit is also hazardous, because cars tend to bottom out, lose grip and become instable. Vehicle Set Up - Beside the burning straightaways, there are also slow segments requiring exceptional traction. Good aerodynamic efficiency is the key to fast lap times. Engineering Requirements - With 66.5% full-throttle sections, Instanbul Park is among the fastest circuits. Drivers shift 38 times per lap, which is relatively easy on gearboxes. Brake wear is also comparatively low.
