The Paton and Palmer families mourn the loss of their beloved Kaelan, who drowned on June 16, 2009. We take comfort in the fact that two boys are alive and well who might not be, had it not been for Kaelan’s efforts. He gave a hand up to the first, and went into a raging river in an attempt to help the second. The rescues were successful, but the rescuer was lost. The Memorial Service and a celebration of Kaelan’s life was held on Sunday afternoon, July 12th, at the Sharon Center School, Hilltop Road, Sharon CT, starting at 1.p.m. The gathering began with the Memorial, followed by a Song Circle, then a pot-luck vegetarian meal in his honor. The celebration closed with a New England contra dance (which he loved), followed by more contemporary dancing. Cool and casual clothing were recommended; rainbow colors were welcome. A Kaelan Paton Memorial Fund has been established at Salisbury Bank and Trust, Box 7, Sharon, Connecticut 06069. Kaelan’s father, David, and his sister, Linnea, hope to use the fund to further artistic and educational endeavors in the area, including, possibly, an annual folk music and dance festival in his honor.Tax-deductible contributions may be made to “Kaelan Paton Memorial Fund” and sent directly to the bank. Contributions in memory of Sandy Paton who died 40 days after Kaelan should also be sent there.

Vasti has visited Innsbruck now for the first time and played with his band from Friday, July 23 till Sunday, July 25 at the Innsbrucker Marktplatz.

We never had a real fun at fireworks event so we decided to have our own massive fireworks festival !! This is our massive fireworks experiment and we're sharing that with you!! We used u20 camcorder to film this experiment. Then, we used 500 fireworks with 30shots in each fireworks. It was all 15000 shots in total. Again ! Do not try this at home or alone.

Umbrella for the Arts: 40 Years of Bumbershoot Artwork, at Seattle City Hall, features 40 years of Bumbershoot posters and original artworks created over the past 40 years specifically for the Festival. Claes Oldenburg, Jacob Lawrence, Joe Max Emminger, Barbara Earl Thomas, Faye Jones, Ginny Ruffner, Cheryl dos Remédios and Dawn Cerny are just a few of the dozens of artists whose work has defined Bumbershoot’s look. Ich war dabei. Openig Party Ibiza. Welche ein Gefühl mit Menschen aus der ganzen Welt zusammen zu sein die alle nur das wollten, was auch ich wollte. Feiern, Feiern, Feiern. Und es war wieder einmal toll. Obwohl ich ja als Berlinerin einiges gewöhnt bin, mit diesen Events ist nichts vergleichbar. Wie Insider berichten ist die Szene zwar in Bewegung und die ganz großen sind nicht mehr ganz so groß, dafür gewinnen kleinere auh an Bedeutung. Eines steht fest: Diese Tage und natürlich die Nächte sind unvergleichlich. Ob das Festival nach 2005, 2007, 2008 und 2009 auch in diesem Jahr wieder den Preis für das Best Outdor Music Event bekommt ist mir persönlich egal. Für mich steht fest: Ich freu mich jetzt schon auf das Closing. Da werde ich wieder mit dabei sein. Wir sehen uns ...Linda
