Under a full moon, Mother Goose slips out of the book for a midnight rendezvous with her secret sweetheart, a scarecrow, much to the disgust of her goose. The love-birds attract the attention of the woodland creatures, who wonder how long this has been going on. Finally, Mother Goose is surprised by the characters in the rhymes, who were secretly watching. She then chases them back into the book.
