On his way to school Archie discovers a mysterious gadget outside the Salvation Army. In class, he calls up a favour from his mate Hirini to take the spelling test in the first lesson so he can play with his new toy. When Archie accidentally discovers the ON switch, things start getting interesting. Three kids get 'nuked' and now he's in trouble! The gadget suddenly becomes mocking, angry and mean as it challenges Archie to compete for the lives of his friends, Amy, Jayden and Alice.
