I have drilled out holes and painted the primer pan orange to match my Soloist mess kit. I used a engine paint rated up to 500F. I believe I shouldn’t have any problems with the paint peeling off due to heat. Next step in making my alcohol stove well be to JB weld my center pan into the primer pan. I debating on what type of jet system to use. I think I am going to use a hybrid system of jets. I also trying to come up with a pot stand of some kind using a wall plate hanger.
