Before I get into the description, let me point out a few things: I used a different camera this time, but had to record to VHS first, then transfer to PC, which is why the quality is a bit grainy (awful). We had a shortage of games because my local blockbuster closed down, but in the future may rent all my games from Gamefly, or wherever. Also, there was a lot of FX jobs that took a while to make, and don't transfer well to wmv format, but there are new 3d segments for the show, so hope you like. Onto business. This month, you'll see us dig into the old vault and pull out a review to Mega Man 5 for the Nintendo. Help out the local rednecks in Redneck Rampage for the PC with some cheat codes, and play as a zombie with a hole in his belly on your X-Box. All this plus a little visitor drops by the show (yeah, decided to add a lame story bit)

Dated: 28th August 2007 - Shocking video footage has been broadcast of Indian police and a mob of civilians as they punched and kicked a man accused of stealing a gold chain. He was then tied him to a motorcycle and dragged down a street. In the video, the rail-thin suspect - wearing only tattered trousers, his hands bound behind his back - is repeatedly punched in the face and kicked in the stomach, chest and back by a mob in the eastern city of Bhagalpur. One man can even be seen whipping the suspect, identified only as Salim, with a belt. At one point, Salim was tied to the back of what appeared to be a police motorcycle and dragged down the street. At least two policemen could be seen in the video.

The hermits of Cappadocia hollowed out the chimneys from bottom to top creating rooms 10-15m high. Karabas "Church of the Black Heads": Many of the frescoes had their eyes gouged out, as the Muslims believed that if you took the eyes off the paintings then the soul would be removed. Some of the graffiti on the walls dates back to Greek times and some to the early 1800's. Soganli: One of the oldest towns in Turkey where they are famous for making dolls that are sold throughout Turkey. Uchisar Citadel: A natural rock citadel which surrounds a traditional village. It is the tallest point in Cappadocia.

The Thatcher Years. The decline of Thatchers power in the early 90s. As Thatcher become more autocratic the party demanded the ultimate sacrifice. But that sacrifice would tear the party apart for the next decade. The upside was that the political landscape in Britain had been completely changed, to the point where Labour had abandoned Clause 4 and we finally had aceptance from our political class that socialism was no way to run a country.

High on the side of a mountain over looking the Valley of Lhasa, Tibet, I met 2 young men. Like me they had hiked up for hours to reach this beautiful vantage point. The purpose of their journey was to offer prayers to god, the prayers were written in Tibetan script on colourful squares of tiny paper and included a caricature of Buddha. They rejoiced in the simple act of releasing the prayers into the wind. A touching moment and a treasured memory of my time in Tibet.

On a stormy Sunday (1st July 2007) and with central London experiencing a heightened security alert, I decided to head out to Alexandra Park - home of Alexandra Palace - with its views towards the distant towers in the city of London which is 6.5 miles (10 km) south of the park. In this episode, I take in a couple of shots of the palace building (these days not much to look at except for its circular rose window) and TV tower, then I turn the camera around to point south to central London. Alexandra Palace itself is no longer much to look at. A fire in the 1980s destroyed much of the building and it has only been partially rebuilt. However the historic BBC TV studios and (still operational) TV transmitter still exist. The tower was the first in the world to transmit TV pictures, from 1936 (for more information see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandra_Palace ).

In 1920, King Alexander of Greece died from a monkey bite. His sudden, untimely death was one of the first in a series of disasters that ultimately led to the Greek Catastrophe in Asia Minor of 1922. Who cares? Well, in this piece I wanted to make the point that history is full of strange, absurd events. There is always the element of chaos underneath everything. In Greece, there are innumerable nationalist documentaries exploring the actions of men like Eleftherios Venizelos (women are notably absent, of course) but there is no acknowledgement of chance as a determining factor in history. There are even conspiracy theories about Alexander's death that point to his doctors; people find it truly unthinkable that a king - especially a Bavarian/Danish import - could die from the infected bite of a monkey.

This video is from Captain Frederick Wentworth's Point of view and I used Jesse McCartney's song to tell his story. I hope y'all will enjoy it. I spent extra time on this video to be sure I picked the best clips to match the song and made sure the timing was right. In the begining I put Caption Wentworth's voice before the song. I'm sorry about the sound of the ocean. I thought it was cool. I used a clip from Shakespeare In Love because they didn't show Captain Wentworth writing or if they did I missed that part.
