Crysis Relic Beginning 1080p HDCrysis running at Very High, DirectX 10, 1920x1080 resolution. In other words, I was able to successfully record this in 1080p HD, while Crysis was running maxed out (imagine doing that when it came out lol).
As usual with a FRAPS recording, performance takes a hit. Crysis never ran perfectly even when it wasn't running FRAPS, but despite this game's bloated requirements, and the use of FRAPS on top of that, it recorded at a very acceptable framerate (early teens during action, most of the time). I'm sure I can get much more playable quality (while recording) if I just downgraded it to 1280x720 (720p) resolution.
I know, I forgot to actually capture a short scene detailing the specs I'm using, but I assure you, it's all maxed out. Just like in the Call of Duty 4 video I uploaded, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u2tvrDrpNo
The stage is Relic, a fairly early stage in the game (Stage 3, I believe?). In fact, this was my first time playing it (I know, I know, I really ought to play Crysis all the way through, I keep getting distracted though!). I also played this on the edge of my bed , with the mouse at an inconvenient location (left of the monitor, and I'm a right handed person). Why am I playing there, you might ask? Playing whilst sitting on my desk's chair is even more uncomfortable. At least on my bed, I can lay down or something, to watch videos.
