Thor #8This is one of my favorite new books. I am new to the title I love the writing, the tone of the book and themes it carries and the art is incredible. The current arch comes to a fitting end as Thor finds closer for his guilt in not being able to bring his father back and the two of them stand side by side in battle in another great battle with Surtur and the father and son team lay the hurt on. There is a great twist in the search for Sif, who has not been able to return as her spirit is trapped within a mortal body and the appearance of this new female Loki type character. I have totally been drawn in and for the first time since Adventures in Baby Sitting I am a Thor fan. Strazynski’s style is very well suited for the character and the art is exiting and grand. The next issue looks like a great issue to get in on but only 8 issues in there are not that many back issues to go and pick up. I start my hunt tomorrow.
