In June of 2001 there was a Big Daddy Kane show at BB Kings in New York City. Many Old School rappers attended and performed... Big Daddy Kane, Ice T, Masta Ace, Keith Murry. Then there was the emfamous battle between one of my personal favorite MC's and forever will be Masta Ace vs Boogieman. It was not a pretty sight but it was just a shining example of the sportsmanship of hip hop. At the end of the show there was a cipher gathering. Some of the up and coming now legendary battle lyricsts C-Rayz Walz, Poisen Pen, and Jin, were talking about the massacre of Masta Ace Vs Boogieman... check it out

With a win from The Underground's Battle of the Bands in Murrieta, California recently put under their belt, there are only good things in store for this quintet. Their sound is adicting. "Wake Up" has such a catchy chorus, no wonder they won the B.O.B. If you like bands like Cartel, Amor For Sleep and The Morning Walk, then you'll fall in love with Panima. If there is one thing i can say about this band is that they are very energetic. Everyone onstage is jumping around and and just rocking out giving you a since of a band loving what they do. "Baby Monroe" is one of those talented performers who entertains commuters in the subways & Path train systems in NYC. With the guitar case open, he soothes passers-by with music and song. Listen in as he continues undaunted by passing & arriving trains, his melodic rich voice triumphing over an announcement over the public address system. After months of following, and filming the great Tommy Carruthers, my friend, Martin Dick, began to edit Sifu Carruthers first official showreel, and instructional DVD.
Just before Martin could be paid for his hard work, the showreel was snatched, and unleashed onto the internet.
This video also features original music, by Raymond Paterson, of the band "Diverz Palace", which was specifically recorded for the Tommy Carruthers instructional DVD.
The aspect ratio has been corrected for the purposes of streaming video sites.
