Arriving At a farm in North central Virginia, Gatlin and Fitz meet Martha Carlyle, a deeply religious woman, who says she saw an alien craft hover over her home and front yard. Martha explains how a robot like creature emerged from the craft and took some soil samples as well as communicated with her, telling her that there was nothing to fear. Nearby, a U.S. Air Force pilot sights a UFO and gives chase until, over Washington D.C., he suddenly plummets to his death. Gatlin and Fitz must comfort his grieving widow and somehow explain what he may have encountered up there. Other sightings investigated include those of a farm family in eastern Kentucky, a truck driver in Charleston, West Virginia and a commercial airline pilot who was flying out of Kansas City.

The 100-foot-wide W&OD has been called "the skinniest park in Virginia." But it is also one of the longest parks, 45 miles of paved trail for walking, running, bicycling and skating and 32 miles of adjacent gravel trail for horseback riding. Built on the roadbed of the former Washington & Old Dominion Railroad, the multi-use W&OD Trail runs through the urban heartland and countryside of Northern Virginia.

This charming farm town became the center of commerce in Western Loudoun with the arrival of the railroad in 1874. Today, the rail bed has been converted to the Washington & Old Dominion Railroad Regional Park, a paved multi-use recreation trail that runs 45 miles from Arlington, Virginia to Purcellville. Purcellville is also home to many unique shops and eateries, including the "oddest store in Loudoun County".

Orpheus Music meets Business The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra is a Grammy Award-winning classical music chamber orchestra based in New York City. It is known for its collaborative leadership style, in which the musicians, not a conductor, interpret the score. Orpheus was founded in 1972, by cellist Julian Fifer and a group of fellow musicians who aspired to perform orchestral repertoire using chamber music ensemble techniques. Central to its distinctive personality is its unique practice of sharing and rotating leadership roles. For every work, the members of the orchestra select the concertmaster and the principal players for each section. These players constitute the core group, whose role is to form the initial concept of the piece and to shape the rehearsal process. In the final rehearsals, all members of the orchestra participate in refining the interpretation and execution, with members taking turns listening from the hall for balance, blend, articulation, dynamic range and clarity of expression.
