Black Knights

One of the world's worst airshow disasters. Seventy-two spectators as well as three pilots were killed and 346 were seriously injured in the resulting explosion and fire. The event took place in front of an audience of 300,000 on 28/08/1988 at the Ramstein Air Base in the US.

We follow the dream of a young aerobatic pilot hoping to make it on the airshow circuit. We see what it takes to get a low level waver to fly at airshows and meet FAA requirements.

An old show with the arrival of Concorde viewed from the flightdeck and externally. Then another delta feature with a black and white film of the Avro formation and then Roly Falk rolls the white Vulcan. Awesome.

This film documents the creation of the National Aerospace plane by engineering students at Virginia Tech. The film shows plane construction in the hangar and the presentation of the final plane design. Also included in the footage is the transporting of the plane in a C-5 to a Paris airshow. Interesting animations of the Aerospace plane flying through space also featured.

The world's only twin jet engine sailplane gives an outstanding aerial performance set to a great tune. The jet engines on this sailplane only weigh 5 pounds each, and wait until you see what he can do with them! A beautiful aircraft and some great aerobatics! The Atlantic City Air Show: Thunder over the Boardwalk captivated onlookers with dazzling aerial spins, formations, and amazing speed. The US Air Force's Thunderbird team were the highlight of the show. Six jets bursting through the air with synchronized routines that will leave you breathless. ACTV's Chris Robinson got a chance to chat with Thunderbirds Public Affairs Officer Elizabeth Kreft about this exciting show.
