Michael Crawford sings a transcendent "O Holy Night" -- possibly the best version ever recorded -- on the TV special "David Foster's Christmas Album" (NBC, December 10, 1993). The majestic arrangement (by Jeremy Lubbock & David Foster) starts out softly, then slowly builds to a spine-tingling crescendo, creating an unforgettable and timeless Christmas masterpiece. This song is from David Foster's Christmas CD, which features an all-star cast singing some of the best Christmas music of the 1990s. Michael Crawford would later include this track on his 1999 "A Christmas Album" CD. He also lip-synched this song again on the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's 2001 DVD, "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve." David Foster would later use this arrangement again, on recordings by Celine Dion and Josh Groban... and while their versions are fine, they don't quite recapture the magic of Michael Crawford's version. Flood Of Destruction (911) is in essence one version of the sound track of Genesis chapter seven. It is simply a score in which all of the letters in Genesis 7, in the Hebrew Torah, are converted into musical notes and played with various instruments. There are many arrangements to be gleaned from this portion of Scripture. This happens to be the one that was composed and titled “Flood of Destruction,” on the morning of September 11, 2001, just before the Trade Towers were attacked.
