Here is over four minutes of Coney Island’s rides from the 1940’s in high quality b&w. Roller coasters, ferris wheels merry go rounds bumper cars and all kinds of whirling twisting moving machines. It ends with some very nice nightime shots of the lights. Really just a continuation of our walk on the beach, but the timing was impeccable. NAS Oceana (Naval Air Station) is just a quick jump away from Sandbridge beach, if you're a navy jet pilot. Even hundreds of feet in the air by the time the jets are over our heads, the noise is fierce and awesome. There's even a bumper sticker that says "I love jet noise!" As you can see from the footage, we became pretty oblivious to the jet noise, but the juxtaposition between the action and the soundtrack is excellent. You also get a good, casual, unscripted view of several of the beach houses on Sandbridge beach, 20 minutes south and a world away from the commercialism of the Virginia Beach boardwalk. In this episode: My lack of decent video editing software hasn't stopped me from making my first Podvert. I figured the intro music from my last episode (Lx7#003) was too good to not turn into something, so here's the result: a quick little Podvert / Promo Bumper / Video Intro. Purely, a low budget live recording that I did it in 3 takes. 1 for the drums, 1 for the synths and 1 for the vocals. Feel free to share it out.
