Have a Need for Speed?New Sports Car Clubs Give Drivers the Chance to Take it to the Limit
Imagine having access to some of the most exotic sports cars and driving them at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour. At Motor Sports Clubs - think: country clubs for cars - automotive enthusiasts and owners of high horsepower sports cars are doing just that.
With up to four miles of track and no official speed limit, drivers/owners can explore what high performance cars are capable of. In some cases, street machines become race cars and are taken to the threshold of their G Force limit. The just-opened Monticello Motor Club, in the Catskills north of Manhattan, will introduce the 550 horsepower Cadillac CTS-V, which goes from zero to 60 in 3.9 seconds.
More clubs are forming all across the country from Virginia to Colorado, Texas and Ohio.
