we believe we are testing the markets high in the current trading range. the low could be around the march lows. as we've been saying commodity prices are rising, oil, and gas. we believe it is a solid long term strategy to invest in commodities.

worse then expected sales numbers for april came in, which was totally not surprising considering the unemployment rate.

with gas prices rising and unemployment still rising this is a problem. also the retail numbers came in and they are not as good as thought they would be.

gm really dumped as it's looking like they are going to file chapter 11. financials and technology shares are leading in the slide. but tomorrow will be an important day. retail numbers and more importantly the oil inventories will be stated.

stephen speaks about today's sell off. oil was down was a little less then the market, and gold was down too. so stocks and commodities are marching in line. but there is a problem with that...

scott talks about the stress test results and the possibility that infact the bar for the test was set too low, even though 10 of the 19 banks would need to raise capital according to the government.

Just as we were saying the banking situation wouldn't bode well for the markets, and just like we were saying the stress tests coming back from the banks would not look pretty. something else we speak about the TIPS & Bonds, and the impact.

we speak about the adp unemployment numbers. oil inventories are at the highest since before the war. banks continue to rise even though it's now knows billions will be needed to keep them alive.

Stephen talks about how history shows that even if this recession ends this year, we are looking towards a long road uphill.

earnings have been totally forgotten as people are buying into the market for the long haul now. bank stocks have been rising but moody's put 23 financial institutions on negative watch.

well the bank stress tests have come in. but they haven't been released yet. we still think stay away from banks.

today's action looked normal. defense stocks acted defenshisly. dow, s&p, and nasdaq all down. maybe tomorrow will be up? swine flu is non issue for now on the markets.

strange day in the markets today. we still do not trust this rally. especially since there has never been a sustainable rally on a weak economic recovery.
