BEWARE THE TRIN !!! What a divergence. Even the VIX is messy in this area. Great run up in price this morning to the aforementioned 100 mark on the SPY. Hi all... Watch to see if we can consolidate in this area today. After a multi-bar runup like this the odds are for a consolidation or a pull-back. We pretty much beat the odds yesterday on a daily SPY chart, but that does not mean there were not intra-day actions that could have been taken. Fun working with you all, Matador

Good day again everyone, After a bit of a sell off this morning, we saw a 100% run up to the gap and some higher swing lows. After another lower swing high we formed a symmetrical triangle that we are just testing to the upside now. WHAT A MOVE! Amazing opportunities today especially during one particular intraday breakout. A little "gutsy" without broad market internal confirmation but still excellent. Hi all, After a nice run-up in price again yesterday we are having a pre-market consolidation at the highs. JPM beat the street and that is helping. Note the constant rise in the VIX yesterday however and just be careful as we enter into the area of the last consolidation on the daily chart of the SPY. Talk to you soon, Matador : )

HI all, Markets are gapping down today ahead of earnings season and of course all the economic unknowns. If we trade and stay where we open (premarket anyway) we will be below the or very near the declining 200ma on the daily. Good day all, Well jobless claims are having their toll on the markets here premarket as investors are seeing another bump in the road to "recovery". We have gapped down to the 91 area on the SPY and we will watch how that gap fills if at all. Will be an interesting morning, Matador

Hi all, The markets are acting very nicely at least technically. Great unfilled gap this morning was barely tested once before taking out overhead resistance at 93 (SPY). Great 93.20 resistance that was called in the chat room has now held. We will have to work our way through that before a move to the next logical spot of resistance at 94 area. Good Afternoon from the East Coast of the US : ) Well after a fairly dramatic intraday sell-off from a noted resistance level coupled by worse than expected economic data, we are seeing about a 50% retrace to the upside. It is selling off again into the close but not with much steam. TRIN's and VIX matched all day and tomorrow will be another interesting day in the markets. Tests of support could be noted all day but the markets have so far been unwilling to part with their shares even after the run-up in price yesterday into resistance. Good day all, Mixed economic news is causing a sell-off in the markets this morning. The first quarter GDP number was -5.5% instead of the -5.7% economists had been predicting. The initial claims number however rose to 627K when the markets had been expecting a lower number of 600K. It will be interesting to see who wins this battle and how the market digests this information after the open. Premarket we are still in a range testing the premarket gap from yesterday. Hello again all, Nice little pop in the markets to almost the 50% retrace area I was talking about as resistance yesterday. The up gap is due in part to the better than expected data that came out at 8:30am (est). We will have to see what happens at the 10:00am news as well. Trade smart today and remember it is a fed day.
