北九州市は、昭和38年2月10日、北九州工業地帯を構成する旧5市（門司市・小倉市・戸畑市・八幡市・若松市）の合併により発足しました。
同年4月1日、最初期5市に続く6番目の政令指定都市に移行し、旧来の六大都市（東京・横浜・京都・大阪・神戸・名古屋）と並んで「七大都市」に加わりました。
新市の船出を記念し、当時26歳の江利チエミさんが 「北九州音頭」を晴れやかに歌いました。

A commemorative song of the startup of Kitakyushu City in 1963.
The city was founded from the merger of five municipalities（Moji, Kokura, Tobata, Yahata, and Wakamatsu）, and designated by government ordinance in the same year.
My friend Miyako shot me randomly singing my original song "Desperation (Milan)" while we walked around the cities of Fukuoka & Kagoshima, Japan. We used my iPhone 4s to shoot the entire video. I wrote this song while in a hotel in Milan, Italy then recorded it in producer Mike Miller's home studio in Nashville, and finally recorded the music video in Japan. Kinda cool that the creative process has spanned 3 continents. I hope that's part of what makes this song/video/production unique.

Little Mikko and Amaia come for a visit and help me pick the diakons from my boulevard garden. According to Masanobu Fukuoka who wrote One Straw Revolution, diakons are a good plant to help you dig up hard, stony soil.

Walking down the main street of the Nakasu nightlife district in Fukuoka around 9pm on a Friday night. The shaky camerawork is a result of my failed attempt at surreptitious filming.
Dynamite Kansai, Devil Masami, Hikari Fukuoka, Hiromi Yagi vs. Ozaki Mayumi, Cutie Susuki, Sumio Toyama, Candy Okutsu. First it was survivor style 1-on-1, then after a time-out on the final face-off, it turned into a 4 vs 4 tag match. 1-count fall!

I present to you Mayumi Ozaki's only solo modeling video, Fascination, from 1996. Despite the incredible looks, she's still a damn good wrestler, and there's some wrestling in the midst of the hotness, in the form of a tag match with Cuty Suzuki against Hikari Fukuoka and Dynamite Kansai, from JWP Project's (the JWP we know of today, not the original from '86-91) debut show back in April of 1992. Plenty of sweet lingerie shots in this one ;-)
