I like to get out and meet the public relations people behind many of the big successes in the mobile industry. Whilst a lot of media colleagues are rather traditional when it comes to PR ('never make them the story, always slam the phone down on at least one PR chap every week to keep'em keen'), I have a different perspective. They perform a much needed role -- and they're often hugely, hugely useful when MIR readers are trying to get contacts at some of the industry giants. For instance, I referred at least three people to Alexis Dalrymple of Hotwire PR during the MIR Mixer event last week. Each reader was hoping/trying to get in touch with Blackberry. Who better than one of the chaps who handles their public relations? To this end I've made the PR people the story. So now and again I'll be running features here and on Mobile Industry Review about the people behind the news. First up, I managed to grab the very same Alexis Dalrymple along with colleagues Lauren and Dom (from sister agency, 33 Digital) and got them to say hi on camera. They've got a really smart new service for application developers that allows integration of the Touchnote library with just a few lines of code. The upshot?
