This remix is a light mash up and is recommended for use in clubs in place of the original track, since this version has more energy, is more trance focused and is more aggressive. Running two decks of the standard version the fader is heavily used to swap and slide the vocals while applying a bass offset and then restarting the first deck toward the end. The mix has a nice club / trance feel to it with the great vocals intact and enhanced while the bass and midrange provide good peaks in a couple of spots. For this mix I have attempted to create a high energy /trance/ harder version of the standard song. The vocals are just brilliant and I have played up to them as much as possible, overlaying them in several sections creating a nice flowing effect. Credit to both Dennis Christopher & the Neon Wave authors for melodic and bass parts of this remix. Considerable time was spent on ensuring originality and aggression with correct peaks and troughs on this track. This time around I used VDJ to assemble the arrangement, CoolEdit Pro to clean up the waveform and reorder and tidy numerous bars and vocal sections. This track was produced by Armand Van Helden and features vocals by Monica. There is very minimal ordering changes and mix-in and out bass chopping is present. Heavy rework of Rapture that switches between 3 different base versions that are all remixed further. Attempted to make it more uplifting than the original. Something of a story in the reordered vocals, this is such an amazing track though. Several sample sets used, this was put through CEPro mainly but exhibits some really beautiful timing This style of trance is great to lose yourself in, I put some filters on several of the vocals and added some stereo spatial efforts, I kept it as smooth as I could. I put emphasis on "I know you're trying hard, to reach me.." to give the track a newer identity and to appeal to the main themes of the song lyrics. Also manufactured several build up sections and peaks that were not present otherwise (eg 6:05 pushing onwards to 6:50)
