Thomas McNamara, otherwise known as Macky, has been making art for as long as he can remember, winning sculpting contests as early as junior high. At 11, his father got him a lead soldier-making kit. That’s when art was introduced and it quickly became evident that it was to be his purpose in life. At 11 he could melt the lead in a small pot, pour it into molds, and paint the little figurines. These soldiers were often given to his parent’s friends. The response was wild - the adults all loved them!! The film shows British fighter planes flying over the desert and various bombings. British troops dig and place land mines in the sand. Soldiers are shown loading canons. Soldiers remove belongings from a dead soldier and bury him with a cross on top of the burial site. Mines explode as military vehicles drive through the sand. German prisoners are transported on a large ship. Prisoners line up in swim suits and walk in a single file line. They crowd together on the ship decks. Film ends with the graduation of Chinese air corps in Phoenix, AZ.

This footage shows military action in the Philippines. Airplanes, boats and ships line the shore, and the smoke blots out the sky. Soldiers march through the high grass, hose down the street, or carry wounded or dead soldiers. Tanks make their own path through the madness.
