On 20th September the 181th Oktoberfest startet. Every year more than 6 million people visit Munich’s famous Wiesn. The largest folk fest in the world offers about 180 funrides and sidestalls, from historic carousels to thrilling roller coasters. Besides the numerous stands that sell all sorts of delicacies, it is especially the large beer tents of the traditional Munich breweries and the famous Oktoberfest beer that attract people. Within only 2 weeks, 7 Million liters of beer are served here. This fun fair of superlatives is also pathbreaking when it comes to new technologies and inventions!

The vehicles can only be described using superlatives. And the same is pretty much true of the terrain in which they will eventually be deployed – in what is quite simply considered the toughest rally in the world. The 2011 Dakar Rally will be the ultimate acid test for a team that has twice in succession dominated the mother of all rallies and taught its competitors a lesson or two.
