Hi again all... A bit of an early video based on what is happening in the markets right now. There is a great unfilled gap to the upside now as the housing numbers came in. Markets ran up to resistance then broke to the upside again into a consolidation. The VIX is diverging from the broad markets so take that into account as you place trades at this time. Good afternoon all, Nice consolidation we still have going on here. Mixed TRINs into the close with a rising VIX. Bearish engulfing candles across the board and a couple of dark cloud covers to boot. The VIX spiked toward the end of the trading period so we will have to watch to see if we stay in this high base that is forming on Monday. BEWARE THE TRIN !!! What a divergence. Even the VIX is messy in this area. Great run up in price this morning to the aforementioned 100 mark on the SPY. Good support remains in the unfilled gap area this morning but in the face of some solid selling, that could get crushed. Have a great rest of the day and stay tuned for dseven's vid after the close. Hi all, After a nice run-up in price again yesterday we are having a pre-market consolidation at the highs. JPM beat the street and that is helping. Note the constant rise in the VIX yesterday however and just be careful as we enter into the area of the last consolidation on the daily chart of the SPY. Talk to you soon, Matador : )

Good Afternoon from the East Coast of the US : ) Well after a fairly dramatic intraday sell-off from a noted resistance level coupled by worse than expected economic data, we are seeing about a 50% retrace to the upside. It is selling off again into the close but not with much steam. TRIN's and VIX matched all day and tomorrow will be another interesting day in the markets. Hi all, We are seeing a retreat in the markets today in the wake of some adverse economic news from the World Bank. TRIN's are matching and VIX is rising. Hi all, Nice consolidation we have continued with here. Divergent TRIN readings, rising and now flat vix etc... All point to indecision in the markets. Keep a careful eye out for any potential "cracks" in the armor either way however. Talk soon, Matador : )

Hi all, Well after the unfilled gap this morning we saw a series of lower swing highs and lower swing lows. We then put in a higher swing low but still with a lot of overhead resistance in tact. The TRINs are divergent and the VIX is rising. Not the best long scenario although there are some relative strength stocks to be found. Trade well, Matador : )

Good morning again all, We are gapping down this morning after the nice run up and consolidation in price. Yesterday I mentioned that the morning move was built on sand since the TRINs were rising at the same time the market was running. VIX was in line but we did see a consolidation. Hi all and welcome back to FTV. April existing home sales rose by 2.9 percent which is a modest increase. The markets popped on the news but in typical fasion digested it quickly. Just as I was burning this video, we saw another test of the next logical place of resistance in the broad markets. TRINs are looking good as is the VIX. Hi all and good day! Bernanke said the economy should grow again later this year and while the ISM numbers still contracted, they shrank slower than expected.
