But once you look closer, some details present themselves that indicate that this is definitely NOT a typical used car lot '69. In fact, it's a true double-COPO 427 car sold through Berger Chevrolet, and it is still in original paint. Truly a gem in the Brothers Collection.

This week we stretched the definition of muscle car just a bit and bring you a 1974 De Tomaso Pantera GTS. The muscle car connection is this car's 351 cubic inch Cleveland V8 that looks over the driver's shoulder as you row through the ZF gear box. Power comes from Ford, wrapped in Italian styling. It's a base-model 1969 Barracuda, sporting a mild 318 with a 4-barrel and and an automatic transmission. However, it's wearing a Mod Top and interior option... something that makes this little Barracuda worthy of a moment in the sun of it's own. It may not be the fastest in the fleet, but it is one of the more distinctive cars in the Brothers Collection.

http://www.musclecaroftheweek.com - Back in 1964, Super Stock drag racing racing was one of the hottest things going, and people loved the competition and energy of stock-appearing cars going much faster than normal. The next evolution was Factory Experimental, a class that allowed manufacturers to get a little crazier with performance parts and special pieces in cars that still appeared similar to what was for sale in local showrooms. This 1964 Mercury Comet is an A/FX car, one of 21 built, and it still retains all the "experimental" speed parts that it wore back in '64, like the 425 HP high-riser 427 and all the fiberglass body panels.

The rear gear kicked off a handful of upgrades to form the Super Cobra Jet, a car that was intended to be a drag strip terror right off the showroom floor. This '69 Mach 1 428 SCJ 4-speed car is a beautiful Acapulco Blue version from the Brothers Collection.

This week, we're featuring a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 426 HEMI as our pick for Muscle Car Of The Week from the Brothers Collection. There were only 157 of these cars built, and this Plum Crazy Purple version has all the right parts to make it one of the most prized Mopars in the collection. Starting with a 425 HP 426 HEMI V8, Pistol Grip 4-speed, dual 4 barrel carbs and more, it's a run and gun racer for the street!

Back in 1969, Hurst built 3 1969 Olds Cutlass convertibles to showcase their shifters, and they brought the lovely Linda Vaughn along to add to the over-the-top presentation. One burned, one is accounted for, but the 3rd went missing. These Oldsmobiles are far beyond the regular 442, as they featured a 455 cube big block Olds under the hood, backed by a 3 speed shifted by - of course - a Hurst shifter. The white and gold paint scheme was wild, but it's impact was not even close to the giant a Hurst shifter mounted on the trunk mounted platform modeled by Ms. Golden Shifter Linda Vaughn! Recently, this car was discovered as being one of the 3 authentic cars, was added to the Brothers Collection, and was treated to a spectacular restoration by Level 1 Restorations. When completed, it was unveiled to the public by Linda herself at the 2012 The Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals. This special presentation features an interview with William Wheeler, the man who drove this car every day back in '69 as the Vice President of Hurst Airheart Brakes. The iconic Olds is ready once again to wow the crowds at drag strips with Linda waving to the crowds from the platform and giant Hurst shifter!

This week, we're taking a look a pristine 1968 Yenko Camaro from the Brothers Collection, and Charley Lillard fills us in on what made these cars so special. This Medium Blue Metallic version features the 290 HP 302 Windsor V8 topped with Cleveland style large-valve heads, a Toploader 4-speed, performance suspension, a Shaker hood, and all the visual elements that make a BOSS so cool.

This Flame Red super truck is another example of the diversity of the Brothers Collection, and it stems from a year when Ford gave it's all to beat Chevy in sales and speed on the NASCAR track.

This episode features one of the more significant 1/1 cars in the Collection.. a 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda 440 6-Pack Convertible! Plymouth only made 17 440 'Cuda convertibles in '71, 12 were automatics, and this is the only one in color code Y9 Tawny Gold. This car is also unique in that it is one of only 2 wit ht the optional Shaker hood and Billboard stripes on the quarters. It is a fully documented original car certified by Mopar expert Galen Govier, and it is regarded as the highest-optioned 'Cuda convertible built. Truly a unique car!

In this episode, we're spotlighting a 1970 Yenko Deuce Nova, a car that was thinly disguised as a grocery-getter economy car. In realty, it hid a screaming LT1 350 under the hood! In this episode, we spotlight a 1979 10th Anniversary Trans Am from the Brothers Collection that shows a mere 111 miles on the odometer! This one features the Pontiac 400 V8 and four-speed transmission, and is the very same car owned by Pontiac advertising executive Jim Wangers and featured in the movie "Joe Dirt". Although some consider this car to be overdone with its five color hood bird, two-tone paint, & silver interior, we really like the styling of this 1 of 1817 made Anniversary edition.

Dodge Muscle Cars came in a wide variety of crazy colors back in the day... come to think of it, they do now, too! This 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A is a great example of an awesome car in an over-the-top color. The Challenger T/A was the Trans Am race car for the street. It featured a beefed-up 340 V8 with a stronger block, special cam, free-breathing heads, and the super cool 6-Pack triple carb setup. The car had racy styling cues from bumper to bumper, and although they claimed 290 HP, these were potent performers embarrassing many cars with much more under the hood. However, the most notable feature on this example from the Brothers Collection is the paint code FM3, Panther Pink.

This week, we have an extra special feature from the Brothers Collection. Back in 1967, Bill Mitchell and the GM styling division built a custom Camaro convertible called the "Cherokee", featuring styling touches that previewed the forthcoming 1968 Corvette. In this video, we not only feature the freshly restored original show car car, but speak with renowned customizer Charley Hutton about the car and it's meticulous restoration.
