Mark Cubit played at Syracuse University under Jim Boeheim reaching the Sweet Sixteen as Co-Captain and Most Improved Player. Mark Cubit would be a reserve for two seasons at Syracuse, and would captain the team his senior year. After graduation, Mark would be an assistant coach at Syracuse for two years. After coaching at his alma mater, Mark Cubit moved on to play professional basketball internationally. Mark Cubit would play in England's National Basketball league where he averaged 32.6 ppg. Upon returning to the U.S., Mark would coach high school basketball.
