I like the old Stones songs. What they do nowadays should be forbidden but in the old days they were cool. My mom had a 45" of this tune and as a kid I loved this song. Me and my sister used to play airguitar when we put it on the old plastic turntable and jump around the room. I used my little Fender amp to record one guitartrack and I also plugged the mic in there to record the vocals and used the headphone jack to send the signal to my Edirol soundcard. I wanted an old-fashioned sound. I put a bit of pre-amp on the Fender so the vocals are a tiny bit distorted to make it more oldies-sounding. Drums and bass were programmed in Reason as usual. The bass constantly doing the high A and B notes on the D string which I love. Gives it more energy and that buzzing sound. I also put an organ in it because I couldn't figure out what the hell Brian Jones and Keith Richard were playing on their guitars, so to hell with difficult guitar parts and let the organ fill it up a bit. I don't use tabs. I don't even know how to read them. Too difficult. For the verses I only put 1 vocal track. In the chorus I added a couple of vocal tracks. Also put in some handclaps. For the video I taped some of my gear and put it in there, otherwise it's pretty boring just to stare at myself standing there singing :-)
