The Animal Protective Foundation has continuously reached out to the Schenectady community since their establishment in 1931. This foundation has been rewarded a 2009 Good News Award by the Chamber of Commerce of Schenectady County. This private and local organization has worked on many projects, including one, which involves lost cost neutering of animals. Their activism has helped Schenectady flourish as a city.
