Established in 1979, the Empire State Youth Orchestra, or, ESYO is celebrating their 30-year anniversary. Although the program originated in the Albany school district, today, there are over 300 children in the program from 75 schools in the Capital Region. There are two full orchestras, a string ensemble, wind orchestra, 2 jazz ensembles, 3 percussion ensembles, as well as, a city strings program and a city brass program. It is evident that this program has evolved over their thirty years in the Capital Region. We are thankful for the positive influence ESYO has had on our communityâs children!
