TAUB KALDERONG BALUN-BALUNAN RECIPEIngredients :
½ kl Chicken Gizzard
¾ cup sprite / 7-up soda (softdrinks)
1 pc bell pepper
1 pc onion
2-3 cloves garlic
½ cup green peas
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
¼ cup soy sauce
½ cup tomato sauce
Cooking oil
Instructions:
(1) Marinate Gizzard for at least an hour: Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, clear soda(soft drinks- 7up or sprite), and pepper.
(2) Drain the gizzard. Keep the marinade for later use.
(3) Heat oil in a pan.
(4) Saute garlic and onion.
(5) Add the gizzard. Simmer for 10-12 minutes or until the liquid has dried up.
(6) Add the marinade.
(7) Bring to a boil until the sauce is reduced or desired tenderness is achieved.
(may take around 40-50 minutes)
(8) Add tomato sauce.
(9) Add green peas.
(10) Add onion
(11) Add red bell pepper
(12) Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
(13) Super delicious gizzard pulutan is now ready to be served !
