Hamster BabiesToday Daisy acted very strangely, she carries a baby in her mouth, ran around the cage, climbed the wire cage , with the baby still in her mouth, hops to the wheel, dropped her baby and pick up another pup. I watched her and wondered if she just picks her baby randomly. Nope, she know which is done and picks the other, then starts all over again.
I was a little worried by the strange behavior. Without hesitant went checking for an answer and read it was perfectly normal, this is how mom teaches her babies. May it be true but I don’t feel comfortable her in the wheel with the babies, accident may happen and its dangerous. I've removed the wheel but would only place it while I’m watching, that way, she could still enjoy her wheel and exercise.
