July 8 2009 Lake County Illinois,Wind NNE 2mph. 63 degrees. 8:30pm. Hunting Mature Whitetail's in velvet with night vision video camera. It's been tough to find mature whitetail's the last few day so I was trying to take advantage of every bit of shooting light available. I was just about to call it a night when this mature buck walked under my stand. I had to use my night vision for this nocturnal old buck that seemed to sense I was within 15 yards of him. Watch this deer lick his nose to keep it moist, which helps odor particles stick to it, improving his sense of smell.........Captured ONLY on www.HawgNSonsTV.Com

July 2 2009 Lake County Illinois,Wind 0mph. 65 degrees. In Pursuit Of Trophy Whitetail's. I took a ride down to my urban hotspot and witnessed the mosquitos scare away the nice buck I filmed. June 30 2009 Lake County Illinois,Wind NW 9mph. 60 degrees 1st buck 7:05am & bachelor group 7:40pm Hunting Big Illinois Whitetails in velvet with a video camera. With a 30% chance of rain and the temperature dropping a bit I thought it would be a great day to pursue big whitetail bucks. In the morning I still hunted for most of the time and was able to stalk up on a two big bucks. I was able to get a quick sequence of a nice buck I never seen before. He looks like he has good mass and some non typical points. I tried to move in closer, using some brush to shield me but he vanished when I arrived where I last seen him. I was able to stalk within good video distance of a Big 10 point buck and a couple young bucks bedded near a island of the Oaks. The 10 pointer looks like he is going to be BIG! ...... June 27 2009 Lake County Illinois,Wind SSE 12mph. 73 degrees 7:35pm Hunting Whitetail Deer in velvet with a video camera. With a storm front moving in and the temperature dropping a bit I thought it would be a great day to pursue big whitetail bucks. I still hunted for most of the time and was able to stalk up on a few young bucks and a coyote. I was able to stalk within good video distance of a Big 10 point buck feeding on the edge of the Oaks. I stalked up on a few small deer & I was able to stalk within good video distance of a nice 10 point typical buck feeding on the edge of the Oaks. He looks like he is going to be nice! ...... I was unable to get any video of the bucks I stalked up on feeding back to there bedding area in the swamp. June 16 2009 Lake County Illinois,Wind East 11mph.& Rain. Whitetail Bucks in velvet. I wanted to check out this Big buck hot spot that I knew the bucks shed there antlers the earliest in the area this past year,(the first week in December) Upon arriving the rain started to really come down. I walked around for a while and seen several fawns but just couldn't get any good videos of them. I spotted a lot of does and a few bucks but nothing like I know roams this particular property. One of the bachelor groups I have been seeing this spring showed up plus another young buck. I was able to get some video of the nice buck that are in the May 9,18, 26 & June 3 videos. June 4 2009 Lake County Illinois, I was setup in big Willow tree in the middle of a swamp & it didn't take long for it to come to life. I was able to capture some video of this Whitetail Bucks in velvet visiting a natural mineral lick. He was only 15 yards away and the wind shift and he slowly exited the area. I was also surrounded by several Beavers & to end the evening a tailless Racoon.....Captured ONLY on Hawg N Sons TV

May 26 2009 Lake County Illinois. Another day at the woods in pursuit of mature Whitetail bucks & I came upon the bachelor group of 3 bucks I have been seeing a lot this spring. I was able to get some footage of this nice buck in velvet. I believe this is the same buck as the May 9 & 18 video. Although his brow tines(G-1's) don't look like they will have much length his G-2's are starting to show & he looks like he's growing well for this time of year. Also most of the deer I have seen have lost there Winter hair(Blue Coat) & have there Red Summer coat.....Captured ONLY on www.HawgNSonsTV.Com

February 27 2009 2:43pm North Eastern Illinois. Out shed antler hunting and I spotted a group of mature Whitetail bucks. There were no less than 20 bucks in this group, most of which had shed there antlers already. I was able to capture some good video of 1 mature buck still sporting antlers....ONLY on HawgNSonsTV! Quick Clip 11 December 17 2008 3:53pm Northern Illinois. It had snowed the previous night 4-6 inch's and the deer were feeding heavily. I saw some real big bucks but was unable to capture any good video's for various reasons...mostly because they were in thick brush. It's November 15 2008 7:18am in Northern Illinois ...In my opinion it's the peak of the rut in this ... part of the country.
