Painting a handicap symbol on a parking space. Stencil is # S-3039M 39 inch (1 meter) high symbol. Our stencils are made of Maxilast. The paint build-up peels off and the stencils can be used over and over.

Painting a 4 inch high wording stencil using an airless striping machine, We are using a 3-15 spray tip so we can go slow and not get too much buildup. Spraying these stencils with the machine makes for a much sharper edge on the letters as compared to using spray cans. it's a lot cheaper, too!

People ask if I sell a stencil for painting the background for a 39" (1 meter) handicap stencil. That's the standard size for a handicap symbol and it's my biggest seller. I do sell a background stencil, but I don't use it myself. This is how I paint the background. I place the S-3039M handicap stencil in position, and use the outside as a template for applying two inch masking tape. That gives me a perfect 4'x4' square for the background. This video shows how to paint the background with an airless spray rig. It's important to use a small tip - that lets you go slow without getting too much paint on.

Casey is using the Sport Taper to mask off four insh wide lines for a factory floor. The machine is originally intended to mask two inch wide lines for gym floors and tennis courts, but it can be adjusted to as wide as five inches. The rubber wheels do not cover the entire width of the tape, but it is pressed down on the edges, so it still works.

This is Bubba's 1st time to use the Sport Taper. He is using the Sport Taper with the optional three point radius kit. It can be adjusted to taper circles from 4 ft to 44 ft diameter. After it is taped, we paint the lines and pull up the masking tape.

I'm taping a straight line with the Sport Taper. We will paint the lines and pull up the tape, leaving a sharp edged line.

The Giant Chalkline is a great tool for pavement markers, roofers, and sport court contractors. But you get bestter results if you use it differently than a carpenter's chalkline. Here, the helper presses his end against the surface, and the operator snaps the line with a flick of the wrist. This way lines can be marked over high and low spots, even valleys.
