At this early point in American film history, Tarzan of the Apes was an instant success. Elmo Lincoln was perhaps the best actor at the time for the role. It's a fairly straight forward telling of the novel, tho Edgar Rice Burroughs was frequently on the set in an advisory role and his input was seldom utilized. In the books, Tarzan was quite the self-made scholar and this was barely touched upon in the film. For 1918, this turned out to be an excellent film, parts of which still hold up today. It's a solid 7 out of 10, and well worth seeing. NOTE: This is the original version, not the VHS version.

About the Characters: Kumar - Pakistani dude with white t-shirt and jeans !Xobino - Chinese guy with ski mask (if you watch russell peters, you'll understand why we called him !Xobino Sebastian - Indian guy with ski headband and suit. Brother Y - Chinese dude who likes to wear hats and who doesn't know what he is doing. He has an extra Y.(lame) Mr. Tubz (gang boss) - We never see his face. He wears a suit. That's all. And, he's inconsiderate. Elmo (Tubz's son)- He is the only other formally dressed person that is not wearing a suit. He is Chinese. Bobobo (gang guard)- He is the Chinese dude with another suit and a super mullet with a pony tail. He stutters. Mr. Bartender (gang bartender) - This dude is victim to Asian gang abuse. Again: This movie was produced based on the Greek play Antigone. It was a project for our lit class in school. Enjoy the second half of our movie!
