This is an editorialized presentation of two of those pitches I've filmed these past six months. I'm trying to humorously present a critique on sales pitches aimed at both gay & straight audiences. Gender is probably more important in all of this than "sexual orientation". I understand that "pink vodka" was originally aimed at women, then appeared in some Hip Hop videos & became "the thing" among gay folk which unleashed this new marketing approach. I really don't care. I love to drink. It will be hard to wean me off Smirnoff :-).. I'm "loyal" to "clear" :-) The "Pink Vodka" folks & the Everglo "Green Team" are just marketing ploys to be parodied from my "clear" point of view :-).

This is a music video I made mostly for my nephew who is in a band called "The Ills". Their song "Boomerang" inspired me to make a downtown based video, that tracks a path from home, around the city, and back home again...like a boomerang.......I wasn't trying to do anything special with the scene timing. The point was to show completely different scenes in downtown: some cool, odd and some out of the ordinary. Notice the color is there only when the music is playing.

The B-series, low-budget Detour, the "noirest" of "film noir". Roughly it goes like this. A man, a non-heroic fella faces a dilemma. Roberts stands over Haskell's body, the dead guy, in the downpour, paralyzed by his dilemma. Outcome? Two people, himself and Vera, end up trapped in a room spitting out their hatred for each other. They can communicate only their mutual loathing in a realm where words can wound and a telephone cord is an inadvertently lethal weapon.

The Electricity in Baghdad, and indeed all of Iraq, has been an ongoing problem. As the war and occupation nearly approach their 4th anniversary, these problems continue. Although the press generally doesn’t touch on such issues, even today in much of Baghdad, residents only receive a few hours of electricity per day from the grid. Those who could afford it have taken to using private generators for much of their electricity supply. The electricity problems have also been a huge rallying point for Anti-American, and sometimes even pro-Saddam sentiment. Iraqis are quick to remind foreigners that in Saddam’s time, after the utter destruction of the electrical grid during the Gulf War in 1991, the electricity had basic functionality within 3 months. Electricity is now just one of many issues that, if solved in even a small way, could go far in settling the intransigent resistance and putting Iraq back on the road to stability.

His Java Synthesizer converts the IP/TCP message headers of the data packets traversing the net into music notes that you can individually manipulate. Cool! This, enhanced with Garageband and combined with the Eyephedrine (by GioFX) visualizer on Apple's iTunes client can produce some deeply resonating, addictive audiovisual experiences.
