It's not easy to admit that you're wrong about something, especially when it comes to uncomfortable truths like the great tribulation and the timing of the rapture. The seven trumpets of Revelation are often thought to be the same as God's wrath, and so most Christians believe that the return of Jesus and the rapture will happen before the seven angels of revelation blow those trumpets (which result in some terrible disasters on earth). However, the book of Revelation makes a very clear distinction between the period known as the Great Tribulation, and the pouring out of God's wrath.

The rapture is the most debated topic in the study of Bible prophecy, but you may be surprised to learn that it's an incredibly easy debate to settle. The rapture debate centers around a period known as the Great Tribulation, and there are two sides: Pre-Trib vs Post-Trib. Do Christians go to heaven before, or after the Tribulation?
