Despite the cold weather and rain, the Raya field and surrounding areas in Dahiye were full with protesters hours before the rally began. The waved Palestinian, Lebanese and Hizbullah flags and shouted anti US and "Israeli" slogans and calls for Egypt to take a historic stance in support of Gaza amid a suspicious official Arab silence. Sayyed Nasrallah addressed the protesters through a wide screen and praised their resolution and determination to support their brothers in Gaza. Expressing their solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza, thousands of people have gathered in Beirut in Lebanon. The rally was called by the Hizbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who spoke from a secret location on a giant screen. He said he supports Palestinian calls for a third intifada against Israel, and also criticised Washington’s policies in the region. He said: “Regarding the US administration, and its plan to control the area, they don’t care about the leaders in Lebanon, Gaza, or Ramallah, or Baghdad, Kabul, or any Islamic or Arabic capital or country.” Nasrallah has demanded that Egypt let injured Palestinians through its border crossing and has told his supporters to be on alert in case of an Israeli attack. Hizbollah fought a war with Israel in 2006, which claimed the lives of close to 1,400 people.

Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary-general of Hezbollah, has told his fighters to be on alert for any possible Israeli attack on Lebanon following raids on Gaza that have killed nearly 300 Palestinians. Nasrallah told a gathering in Beirut's southern suburbs that the Israeli assault on Gaza was a carbon copy of its attacks on Lebanon during a 34-day war with Hezbollah in 2006. About 1,200 people died in Lebanon and 158 in Israel in that conflict. "I have asked the brothers in the resistance in the south specifically to be present, on alert and cautious because we are facing a criminal enemy and we don't know the magnitude of the conspiracies," Nasrallah said. Speaking via video link for security reasons, Nasrallah said Israeli forces had gone on alert along the border with Lebanon since Saturday when the attack on Gaza began. After years of civil war, most Lebanese were coming to terms with their nation's past and looking forward to a peaceful future. This documentary is a journey through the filmmaker's memories of Beirut, just before the bombs started falling.

This was my performance at an Improvisation competition at the University I had graduated from, the American University of Beirut, like a year or so ago! My stand-up mixes Arabic and English at times so bear with me, in this particular show I made fun of several performances before mine, so that would explain some of the jokes that some of you viewers might find out of place but people are laughing at them!
