Well yesterday was interesting. There is now a high volume drop to the rising 50ma on the daily SPY. We also tested and are currently testing (premarket), the 112 level. We will need to again see how the markets digest news this morning. Watch for people who came home after work, saw this and are freaking out this morning at the open. Good day all, Markets are gapping down a bit this morning on a wide variety of news. We will be watching the gap fill (if any) very carefully today at the open to see how the markets are digesting these events. On a separate note, Haiti was hit with another earthquake of 6.0 magnitude. This was not an aftershock but a separate fairly powerful quake that has apparently brought down many of the remaining unstable structures. We will be thinking of that situation as well as the markets today. Matador

Hi all, After a valiant attempt to hold above 114 level and then break above 114.20 level, the SPY finally broke down below 114 and even the 113.70 area that was "tested" support from this morning. All bullish price signals were contradicted by the VIX and the TRIN so it was a good environment not to go long in. Markets are behaving well.
