Every October for 12 years the editors of ALLURE have produced the annual "Best of Beauty" issue—taking the guess work out of beauty shopping. This year they tested more than 2,000 products, consulted cosmetic chemists, dermatologists and hair and makeup artists to find the best concealers, shampoos, mascara's and more. They also identified the biggest beauty breakthroughs of the year—the products that really solve problems, far surpass the hype of product marketing or utilize the latest in anti-aging research.
